Call about a job

Based in Kearney, MO Service call $95, first hour included Same day on equipment down

What we weld

Two kinds of calls, and they could not be more different.

Half of this work is a trailer tongue cracked on a Tuesday morning with a load already on it, and the only thing that matters is how fast the truck can get there. The other half is a gate or a railing somebody has been thinking about for two years, and the only thing that matters is that it looks right. Both are below, priced separately, because they are not the same job.

PLACEHOLDER: cracked trailer tongue being ground clean before welding, angle grinder sparks, chain and coupler hanging loose, gravel drive and truck tire in frame

Equipment down repair

Cracked frames, snapped tongues, broken buckets, bent three point hitches, split loader arms. If it stopped the work, it goes to the front of the line and we usually get there the same day.

$95 service call

PLACEHOLDER: utility trailer flipped on its side on jack stands with new cross members tacked in place, old rusted members cut out and stacked beside it

Trailer repair and rebuild

Cross members, decking, fenders, ramps, couplers, jacks, lights and wiring, plus axle and spring swaps. Most twenty year old utility trailers are worth rebuilding and are not worth replacing, and we will tell you which one yours is.

from $240

PLACEHOLDER: custom steel entrance gate hung on pipe posts across a gravel drive, horizontal bar infill, powder coat matte black, pasture and treeline behind

Gates, fence and pipe

Entrance gates, pasture gates, pipe corrals, panels and continuous fence. Hung plumb on set posts so it still swings clear in five years, which is the part most gates get wrong.

from $850

PLACEHOLDER: interior steel stair railing with a flat bar top rail and thin vertical balusters, welds ground smooth, mounted against a stained wood tread

Railings and stairs

Porch rail, deck rail, stair rail and cable rail, in steel or aluminum, with the welds ground and finished instead of left proud. Code height and spacing, and we will pull the measurements ourselves so nothing has to be cut twice.

from $95 / ft

PLACEHOLDER: custom steel front bumper tacked up on a workbench with the receiver tube and light cutouts visible, chalk layout lines still on the plate

Bumpers, racks and hitches

Front and rear bumpers, headache racks, flatbeds, receiver hitches, gooseneck balls and bed rails. Built to the truck with a tape measure instead of ordered out of a catalog and shimmed to fit.

quoted per build

PLACEHOLDER: TIG torch laying a stack of dimes on an aluminum bracket clamped in a fixture, filler rod in the other hand, argon hose coiled on the bench

Aluminum, stainless and small parts

TIG on aluminum and stainless: brackets, tanks, boat and dock hardware, food service stands, exhaust. Plasma cutting for plate and brackets, and we can cut from a sketch on a napkin if the dimensions are on it.

The rig

One truck, one welder, and he answers the phone.

Owner name goes here started taking side jobs with a rig in the back of a pickup in 2021 and it has been full time since the second summer. It is still one truck and one welder, so the person who answers the phone is the person who is going to be standing in your driveway with a hood on.

Everything he has built for four years lives on a phone camera roll and an Instagram grid with no captions, no dimensions and no prices, which is a bad way to sell a gate. That is what this page is for.

The shop is a pole barn on gravel and there is nothing to look at. Most jobs happen at your place. If you are bringing something in, call first so the doors are open and there is room on the floor.

Hours

  • Monday to Saturday7 to 6
  • SundayEmergencies only
  • After hoursCall, do not text

If the phone goes to voicemail it means the hood is down. Leave what broke, where it is, and whether it is stopping work today, and the call comes back inside the hour. Pictures sent by text help more than a description does.
